Megabit Cloud
VPN as a Service

Your offices and cloud servers should talk privately.

Create encrypted tunnels between teams, offices, and cloud regions without buying gateway hardware. Connect what needs to be private and keep it off the public internet.

Site-to-site and remote access
No gateway hardware to maintain
Provision encrypted tunnels in minutes

Best for

Distributed teams, branch offices, legacy systems, and private admin tools that need secure access without exposing ports publicly.

Common use cases

How businesses use Megabit VPN

Nairobi office to Kigali cloud

Popular

Connect Kenyan headquarters directly to cloud servers in Kigali, staff reach internal tools in Rwanda without exposing them to the internet.

African HQ to London operations

New

Private tunnel from Nairobi or Kigali cloud infrastructure to your London deployment, one encrypted backbone connecting African core to UK operations.

Multi-city remote teams across Africa

Popular

Give your team in Kampala, Dar es Salaam, or Lagos secure access to internal systems hosted in Nairobi or Kigali, without a VPN appliance in each city.

Hybrid cloud for legacy systems

Common

Your ERP or core banking system is in a physical data centre. Your new microservices are in the cloud. A private tunnel connects them securely across any of the 7 AZs.

Developer access to staging environments

Common

Developers in Nairobi, London, or Singapore access staging databases and internal APIs in any AZ securely, without exposing ports to the internet.

What's included

Works Across All 7 Live Regions

VPN gateways can be provisioned in any of the 7 live Megabit Cloud regions: dual Nairobi (Kenya), Kigali (Rwanda), Huye (Rwanda), London (UK), Singapore, and Dallas (USA). An African business can tunnel its Nairobi office to its Nairobi cloud infrastructure, its Kigali cloud, and its London operations simultaneously, all from the same VPN management console.

Built for East African Multi-City Operations

Many African businesses operate across Nairobi, Kigali, Kampala, Dar es Salaam, and beyond. Connecting these offices privately used to mean MPLS contracts with African telecoms (expensive, slow to provision) or managing VPN hardware in each city (fragile, requires local IT). Megabit VPN provisions encrypted tunnels from a cloud console in minutes, connecting any office with an internet connection to your cloud infrastructure in any Megabit AZ.

Connect African Offices to Global Infrastructure

As African businesses expand internationally, the same VPN infrastructure that connects Nairobi to Kigali can connect Nairobi to London or Singapore. A site-to-site tunnel from your Nairobi office to London gives your UK team access to your core African systems over a private connection. No separate VPN solution for global connectivity, one platform handles East Africa and international tunnels identically.

Site-to-Site: Office to Cloud, Office to Office

A site-to-site tunnel connects your office network to your cloud network. Staff at the connected office reach cloud servers as though they were on the local network, no VPN client required on their devices, just a tunnel from your office router to the Megabit VPN gateway. Works with any office internet connection: fibre, 4G LTE, or a reliable MTN or Safaricom business line. If your office router supports WireGuard or IPsec, you are ready.

Remote Access: Your Team Across Africa and Beyond

Remote access mode lets individual team members connect from anywhere, working from home in Nairobi, travelling in Lagos, based in London or Singapore. They install the WireGuard or OpenVPN client on their laptop or phone and connect to your cloud network in any AZ. Each team member gets their own tunnel credentials. Revoke access in the console when someone leaves, no calling an IT administrator in another city or country.

Three Protocols, WireGuard, IPsec IKEv2, OpenVPN

WireGuard is our default: fast, simple, and well-audited. Use it for new tunnels where both ends support it, modern routers, Linux servers, macOS, Windows, iOS, Android. IPsec IKEv2 is for compatibility with existing enterprise firewall appliances from Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, or Palo Alto. OpenVPN is available for legacy environments. All three protocols work across all 7 AZs.

Per-Tunnel Billing at $0.05 Per Hour

A tunnel running 24 hours a day costs approximately $36 per month, less than a single cloud server. Connecting Nairobi to London over a private tunnel costs the same as connecting Nairobi to Kigali. Provision tunnels when you need them, delete them when you do not. A project team can run a London-Nairobi tunnel for a two-week sprint and pay only $16.80.

Always-On Monitoring With Auto-Reconnect

Tunnels are monitored continuously. If a tunnel drops due to a brief internet outage, common in African cities where power cuts can briefly interrupt fibre, the tunnel reconnects automatically within 60 seconds. No manual intervention. No IT team alert. This applies to tunnels between any two AZs and to office-to-cloud tunnels anywhere in the world.

Secure Developer Access to Private Databases in Any Region

Your production and staging databases should not be reachable from the open internet. With VPN, your developers connect to your cloud network and reach databases over private IPs, whether the database is in Nairobi, London, or Singapore. A developer in Kigali can connect to a staging database cluster in Nairobi as though they were on the same local network.

Multi-Tenant Isolation for MSPs and Enterprises

Each VPN gateway operates within an isolated project. Tunnels in one customer project cannot route traffic to resources in another. For managed service providers serving multiple African clients, or enterprises with operations across multiple countries and regions, each entity gets fully isolated VPN infrastructure, with separate monitoring, separate access control, and separate billing.
